Gateway Academy Greenhouse & Garden Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Gateway Academy’s Greenhouse & Gardens are officially open!
Students and staff celebrated a year of incredible hard work with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony for their brand-new Gateway Academy Greenhouse and Gardens!
What started as an old, unused greenhouse has been completely transformed into a thriving farm-to-table space featuring 26 raised beds bursting with fresh vegetables and herbs like broccoli, snap peas, tomatoes, and basil.
This amazing project came together thanks to a $30,000 contribution from the city’s Youth Activities and Mental Health Fund, foundation work by Dellbrook construction, support from HP3, and beautiful custom signs made right in the school's applied math and woodworking classes!
We are so proud of our students for getting their hands dirty, learning to nurture plants from seed to harvest, and enhancing their popular culinary classes!
