Chromebook Protocols & Staff Spotlight

Posted Date: 08/28/26 (02:01 PM)

Good afternoon! Please see the additional announcements below. We are available to answer any questions folks may have. ~ Gateway Academy

To maximize instruction time and minimize office disruptions, Gateway Academy will follow a daily Chromebook protocol:

  • Day 1 Distribution: Students retrieve their assigned, labeled Chromebook from the Main Office on the first day of school.

  • Daily Morning Pickup: On all following days, students collect their Chromebook directly from their A-Block classroom during 1st period.

  • Throughout the Day: Students must carry their assigned Chromebook to all classes.

  • Afternoon Return: At dismissal, students deposit their Chromebooks into the designated A-Block bin located in the Main Lobby.

  • Late Arrival Protocol:

    1. Arriving late? Check in at the Main Office for a tardy pass. (The office does not distribute Chromebooks).

    2. Report directly to your A-Block room first. Knock quietly, enter without disrupting, grab your labeled device from the "Late Pickup" area, and leave immediately without lingering.

    3. Classrooms will admit late students only if they have both their tardy pass AND their Chromebook.

  • Staff Reminder: A-Block teachers will charge devices overnight in classroom carts and return empty bins to the Main Office prior to the final block of the following day.

Staff Spotlight: Imanol Ramos

IMANOL RAMOS -

Imanol Ramos is from Lawrence, Massachusetts, and recently graduated from Sterling College, where he was a member of the baseball program. Baseball has played an important role in Imanol’s life and has helped him develop qualities such as discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership.

Throughout his time at Sterling College, Imanol balanced his academics with the commitment and responsibilities of being a collegiate student-athlete. His experiences both in the classroom and on the baseball field have helped shape who he is today.

As a recent college graduate, Imanol is excited to begin the next chapter of working at Gateway Academy while continuing to stay connected to the game of baseball and building upon the experiences he gained throughout college.

Outside of work and baseball, Imanol enjoys spending time with his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoys playing video games, listening to music, and snowboarding. He also enjoys finding ways to relax, have fun, and spend time with the people closest to him.
