Welcome Back Gateway Families! Important Reminders & Campus Safety Policy Update
Welcome, Gateway Academy Students, Families, Staff, and Faculty, to the upcoming school year! Our faculty/staff are on campus today preparing for our students' arrival, and we want to reshare a few key updates and reminders as we kick off the year.
CRITICAL SAFETY POLICY: POWERED MOBILITY DEVICES BANNED ON CAMPUS
Per Haverhill School Committee policy, all motorized personal mobility devices are strictly prohibited on all school property. This ban includes electric scooters, e-bikes, electric skateboards, powered hoverboards, powered unicycles, and any substantially similar powered personal mobility devices. Please note: If a student arrives at school on any motorized mobility device, they will be sent home immediately to drop off the device and must return to school without it. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in keeping our students, staff, and school community safe.
QUICK BACK-TO-SCHOOL REMINDERS
- Charged Chromebooks: Please bring a charged Chromebook on the first day. If you do not have one, see Beth in the Main Office.
- Bus Routes: During the first week, buses may run a little behind as drivers and students get settled into new routes.
- Student Schedules: Schedules are finalized and viewable in the SchoolBrains Parent Portal. Please reach out to Guidance Counselor Alex McArthur if you have questions.
- Gateway Academy Open House: Join us on September 10th from 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM to meet our staff and tour the school.
- Chromebook Device Waiver Fee: Learn about optional Chromebook damage protection and make payments online at https://www.haverhill-ps.org/device-waiver-fee.
- Photo Opt-Out Form: If you do not wish for your student to be photographed or videotaped, submit the digital form at https://haverhill.jotform.com/260834358885067.
