No Cell Phones in Class Policy

Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you’re all enjoying the tail end of a great weekend. As we move into the third week of what has been a very successful start to the new school year at Gateway Academy, I want to take a moment to remind everyone about our important “No Cell Phones in Class” policy.
Our commitment to providing a focused and productive learning environment for all students remains a top priority. Cell phones can be a major distraction in the classroom, hindering students’ ability to fully engage in their academic lessons, and develop crucial interpersonal skills.
We kindly request your support in ensuring your child adheres to this policy. Please have a conversation with them about the importance of leaving their phones stowed away during class time. In exceptional cases, like emergencies, students should seek permission from their teacher to use their phone discreetly.
Your support with this is greatly appreciated. Together, we can maintain a positive and distraction-free learning environment, enabling our students to thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sincerely,
Brian Edmunds
Principal, Gateway Academy
